*THE BASE FOR THIS POST IS NEGOTIABLE WITHIN ARGYLL & BUTE HSCP*
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered mental health nurse to work within the Argyll and Bute Addiction Team. You will be a member of an integrated health and social care team and as such have links to the wider multi disciplinary team.
You should possess sound clinical knowledge and be able to demonstrate a wide range of clinical skills - including the ability to offer interventions and deliver safe, effective care to a diverse client population.You will be required to carry out assessments, develop, implement and evaluate recovery plans. You will manage your own caseload and provide support to the local GP practice, rapid rehousing department and wider mental health teams throughout Argyll and Bute .
The post requires you to work as part of the wider multi disciplinary team. You should possess good interpersonal skills and have a commitment to partnership working.
You will either be already qualified and registered with the NMC as a non medical prescriber or be willing to undertake this training.
Significant post registration experience is required as well as relevant experience in the mental health/ Drug and Alcohol field. Experience and knowledge of working with individuals who are homeless / at risk of homelessness and an advanced knowledge of the Housing policies both locally and nationally and how these translate in practice to support those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness is required.
