BMTU is responsible for the provision and management of administrative services to support patient care.  All staff within the Department must comply with Divisional and Departmental policies and guidelines.  You will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support including the use of audio/copy typing, photocopying, word processing, the use of management information systems and email to facilitate the smooth and effective running of the department.  You will collect and collate all patient / performance monitoring/ staff governance activity and produce all statistical information associated with this.  You will monitor and maintain the waiting list and referral system for the department.  Send out appointment letters/information packs to patients.  You will create and maintain patient information on relevant systems and auditing of statistical information as required.  You will collect, prioritise and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls on behalf of the team and to initiate action where required to ensure relevant and timely responses. It is essential that you have an SVQ3/NC in Secretarial Studies or equivalent and that you are proficient in IT Skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages.   The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am 0 5.00pm.
