Vacancy Details:

  • Band 5
  • 1.0 WTE –permanent position
  • Within the Adult Community and Rehabilitation Speech and Language Therapy Service
  • Based at Astley Ainslie Hospital providing a service to in patient’s within the neuro- rehabilitation service based at the Charles Bell Pavilion and out patients and domiciliary across Edinburgh within the Edinburgh community Speech and Language Therapy team

Duties & responsibilities:

 

To provide a comprehensive service including assessment, diagnosis and appropriate management to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties referred to the service in a variety of settings, including in- patient intensive rehabilitation and within the patient’s own home.

Key requirements:

 

A qualified SLT wishing to develop or consolidate rehabilitation skills in the field of adult acquired disorders

A SLT degree qualification or equivalent and HCPC registration is essential for this post

Car driver is essential
