This is a fixed term 12 month post.
We are currently looking for a Community Staff Nurse to join our fantastic nursing team. You will provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies. You will support the nursing team to deliver effective patient care within a community setting. The daily workload will be varied with a range of delegated nursing activites and be supported by other team members. You will be responsible and accountable for assessing, planning and implementation of programmes of care as directed by district nurse. These will be developed in partnership with Patients, Family, Carers and Significant others, and will be evidence based taking into consideration the lifestyle, race, gender and cultural background, and factors which impact on physical, mental or emotional health. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have evidence of continuing professional development. It would be desirable if you have a current driving licence, but not essential. The shift pattern for this post includes weekends and public holidays and requires a membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG scheme.
