We are looking for a permanent Band 6 Nurse to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based at Inverclyde CAMHS. It is essential that you are currently a  Registered Mental Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with NMC Registration.  Relevant post registration experience of working with children and or young people (and their families/carers) with a range of mental health/ learning disability and neuro-developmental difficulties is advantageous. You must have an ability to work independently using own initiative and without direct supervision while being able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills and demonstrates a positive attitude towards children and young people alongside an understanding of children and young people’s mental health and developmental needs.  You must demonstrate an understanding of family, community, and social systems. You must have theoretical knowledge and experience of delivering psychological interventions to a high standard. You must demonstrate that evidence based practice is at the core of their work. You should be highly organized and have the ability to function competently as a member of the multi-disciplinary team while being highly knowledgeable of factors which impact on mental health and emotional well-being. You must be able to conceptualize vulnerability, including risk factors and intervene to build resilience and must demonstrate an ability/willingness to commit to personal and professional development. As a Band 6 Nurse you will be in a senior role and be expected to support the development and management of junior staff and students as well as being expected to undertake management tasks delegated by the band 7 Lead Nurse and Service Manager. This will include participating and leading in working groups and project management.  You may be expected to participate in the provision of on call/out of hours cover on a rotational basis which will involve working out-with normal hours.  As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s pre employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date.
