You will provide operational support to the Head of Service in respect of the overall management processes within WestMARC.  In addition, you will play a lead role in project management and performance reporting to support the delivery of a highly complex and varied programme of work within WestMARC.  You will have an integral role within the management team working closely with multidisciplinary staff across a number of sites to contribute to the corporate management of the service.  You will work closely with the management team to bring groups together to achieve service redesign and deliver a more effective and efficient service.   You will have managerial responsibility for the administration support services within WestMARC.  You will play a key role in assisting and supporting the Head of Service in the development of a culture of improved performance management which supports the continuous improvement of services and critical review of progress against key objectives.  You will be involved in discussions and activities which may challenge the way people have worked in the past, supporting them to meet the complex challenges of the NHS.

You will compile reports, highlighting trends and areas for improvement to the Head of Service and senior management team.  You should be educated to degree level or equivalent experience.  You should have substantial experience working within the NHS or similar complex organisation, relevant experience in management of staff and / or services.  You should have a good understanding of the workings of the NHS and conflicting demands and demonstrable project management experience across a range of projects either gained through experience or completion of a relevant training programme at equivalent level to postgraduate diploma.   The shift pattern for this post Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.
