An opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Occupational Therapist at Esteem Early Intervention in Psychosis service. The team covers the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, working with 16-35 year olds presenting with a first episode of Psychosis, providing assessment and treatment. You should have a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. You will provide a specialist Occupational Therapy clinical lead within this area. This will involve specialist assessment, treatment and evaluation, both individually and in groups. You will work alongside other members of the Multidisciplinary Team and will provide specialist professional advice to other disciplines, carers and agencies. You will also carry out the role of keyworker within the service, completing mental health assessments and delivering treatment within this specialist area. You may also have responsibility for the supervision of junior staff.
Regular clinical and professional supervision will be provided, CPD is supported and a Grade Specific Training Programme operates within Occupational Therapy in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This post is based a both Leverndale Hospital and Stobhill Hospital. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
