As part of a dedicated occupational therapy team you will be allocated a patient caseload by the qualified occupational therapists , and will carry out both individual and group interventions as per detailed within the treatment plans. Interventions may vary from supporting assessment of activities of daily living, graded exposure work and using creative activities in a therapeutic manner. You will be required to work effectively as part of the inpatient team working across a number of wards on the Leverndale site. You may be involved in working with patients within the ward areas, the local community and their home environments. You will support efficient and safe service delivery; you will be involved in ongoing supervision and reflective practice. You should have a formal technical qualification, e.g. City & Guilds or Health & Social Care NVQ level 3 and the willingness to undertake the following within 12 months of appointment: - Computing skills, Group skills and Food handling. You should have work experience in health/social care/teaching setting and the ability to work single handed in supportive and community settings.
