Post holder will process a broad range of specialist and routine laboratory diagnostic investigations in Haematology/Blood Transfusion using a range of scientific measurements and technical procedures on patient samples, providing advice to clinicians and other healthcare staff as to appropriateness of tests and time-scales, be responsible for own work and uses specialist training to operate complex equipment and solve problems and will act as a mentor to less experienced Biomedical Scientists and participates in training /supervision of Trainee Biomedical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants.  Successful candidate will have State HCPC registration with the Health Professions Council is mandatory and BSc honours degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent, which is acceptable for Health Professions Council registration.
