Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of care delivery. We are seeking a Band 5 Addiction Nurse for the North East Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. The post offers specialist Addiction Nursing support to a diverse population in the North East locality of the wider Glasgow HSCP. You will be responsible for managing your community caseload within a defined geographical location. You will have a key role in promoting and developing the role of the Addiction Nurse in the community by working in collaboration with patients, acute hospital services, social care colleagues and third sector agencies demonstrating a holistic and recovery focused approach to practice. You should be a registered nurse who has excellent communication skills. You will be required to use both EMIS and Carefirst recording systems. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Mental Health Nurse with the NMC and having acompletion of an evidenced based psychological therapies/psychological approaches to care formal programme of study would be desirable but not essential. The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
