We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Specialist Occupational Therapist based within the Working Age Adults Acute Admissions wards and the 12 bed Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit. 

You will be an independent expert practitioner managing a variety of conditions and needs which are often complex and challenging - providing a specialist clinical lead within this service.  This role will involve specialist occupational therapy assessment, the delivery of effective person centred interventions and evaluation of the effectiveness of occupational therapy treatment. Standardised assessments will be used as appropriate.  You will have responsibility for managing referrals within this service and the day to day management of junior staff and occupational therapy students. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with relatives, carers, the wider multidisciplinary team and partner organisations will be needed to thrive in this role. Under the direction of the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will contribute to the evaluation and development of the occupational therapy service.  The service provides regular supervision and opportunities for continuous professional development. The successful candidate will be part of a well established occupational therapy service which focuses on evidence based practice and effective multidisciplinary team working. You will be required to have a Diploma/Degree in Occupation Therapy and be registered with the HCPC with relevant experience.
