An  opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 OT to join the vibrant, forward thinking Allied Health Professions team providing Secure Care services at the Rohallion Clinic, Murray Royal Hospital, Perth. Rohallion Secure Care Clinic represents a unique setting for secure care in that both low and medium secure care facilities are co-located in a beautiful, semi-rural, elevated site within walking distance of Perth town centre.  The service also has a well established Forensic Community Mental Health Team.


We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist who exhibits the values of NHS Tayside, to our AHP service with the unique opportunity to work across all aspects of the service ie Medium and Low security and within the FCMHT. We provide excellent opportunities for enhancing your clinical/professional skills. We have a well established OT service and provide excellent formal and informal supervision.  The service actively supports individual development through performance development review and learning plans, providing a framework for encouraging CPD and promoting innovative practice.


Applicants must have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in working with this client group. Both post graduate experience and experience within a mental health setting are desirable however not essential.   You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of current legislation and best practice in OT and some of the current challenges that may be relevant in working within forensic mental health.  The ability to work as part of a multi-professional team and communicate effectively both orally and in writing is essential.
