The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role as part of NHS Scotland. NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better care working in partnership. We do this by providing a range of specialized support services that enable NHS boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care. Suitable applicants are invited to join a hard working team in a well equipped Blood Bank Laboratory which operates 24/7.
We are currently looking for a reliable person to join our clinical laboratory team. You will be trained to carry out a range of general duties to provide vital support for the Biomedical scientist staff in our busy Clinical Laboratories. The successful candidate should have a flexible approach to work and may be required to participate in the 24/7 shift system. No relevant experience is required as full training will be given however excellent data inputting skills and fluency in the English language are essential. Applicants must also hold a full driving licence.
Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
