This post will be based within the adult mental health community Occupational Therapy service based initially in Riverside Resource Centre. You will deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with severe and/or enduring mental health problems. You will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and the NW occupational therapy team. You should be able to demonstrate excellent core occupational therapy skills and the ability to evaluate interventions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with relatives, carers and partner organisations are essential to the post. You may be expected to supervise occupational therapy support staff and contribute to the overall development of the service. The service provides regular supervision and opportunities for continuous professional development. You will be part of a well established occupational therapy service which focuses on evidence based practice and effective multidisciplinary working. It is essential that you have a Diploma / degree in Occupational Therapy and that you are registered with Health Professions Council. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
