The renal unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is the inpatient service for Renal services supporting our 7 satellite dialysis units within Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Forth Valley and providing Renal transplantation for the West of Scotland. Ward 4C is our 15 bedded renal surgical ward that offers excellent experience. The ward cares for renal surgical patients, and patients receiving kidney transplants and donating kidneys.
You will be a registered adult nurse with current NMC registration . You should have good communication skills. Extended role skills would be an advantage but full training will be given. This is a highly technical area; however you will work closely with your mentor to help you develop your skills in haemodialysis. IT and good dexterity skills would be highly advantageous. The hours of this post will be worked Monday to Sunday on a rotational basics. Informal visits to the department are welcomed.
