Procurement Officer (Ref: 20475)

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

Band 3 - Salary Range £19,945 - £21,947 per annum


In this varied and demanding role, you will be part of a team responsible for all procurement activity across NHS Shetland. Duties will include sourcing best value goods, using the Board’s eProcurement system and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. The procurement function has a key role in ensuring the right goods and equipment is available to deliver a high level of patient care to the people of Shetland.  

 

You will have experience of working in a warehouse/stock control environment and be educated to SVQ level 3 or equivalent, with Standard grade qualifications in Maths and English.  Good communication skills, a working knowledge of office computing software programs, together with enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to get the job done well are all essential.  A full driving licence is also essential for this role.
