The Supply Chain operational team are part of the Logistics Directorate based in the NDC at Canderside, near Larkhall. They are responsible for the product management and replenishment of the NDC in addition to Supplier, Contract and Data Management for NDC categories.
Effective price and supplier management are critical to the success of the Supply Chain team. Working with the NDC Category and greater supply chain team, you will support the Category Manager in the overall supplier management program including negotiation of NDC pricing and preparation and tendering of NDC Contracts.
Educated to Higher level (or equivalent) you will have strong data gathering and analysing capabilities with an eye for detail. You will have a strong ability to work to deadlines and use initiative where required. Strong communication and presentation skills will assist regular activity with Suppliers, Health Boards and colleagues. Experience in tendering and negotiation would be an advantage
Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Candidates must have current NMC/GMC/HCPC registration at the time of applying.
