National Services Division plans, funds and co-ordinates national specialist and screening services on behalf of NHS Boards and the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates. It facilitates service change across NHS Scotland to ensure consistent, equitable provision of high quality, safe, effective, person centred services to meet the needs of the population of Scotland.


This is an interesting, dynamic and challenging post within a team managing the delivery of a major strategic change in the Scottish Cervical Screening Programme.  You will work with NHS National Services Scotland colleagues, Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates, NHS Boards and health professionals across Scotland to ensure the successful delivery of the strategic change. 


Extensive knowledge of the Scottish Cervical Screening Programme, the functionality of the Scottish Cervical Call Recall System (SCCRS) and its interface systems is essential.  The post holder will be an experienced, senior user of SCCRS and have experience of call recall and patient management pathways at Health Board level.  Proven negotiation skills and change management experience in a complex environment is also essential. The post requires excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. 


This post is based in Edinburgh, with frequent travel throughout Scotland and some UK travel on occasion. 


Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
