Band 2 £26,234 – £28,350 including Distant Islands Allowance pro rata per annum

Part Time 29.6 hours per week (We are willing to discuss the pattern of working hours)

The Talent and Culture Team is seeking a Learning Assistant to join our team based at The Balfour.

As the Learning Assistant, you will play a key role in providing administrative support to our colleagues across NHS Orkney ensuring they can find, access and complete learning resources.

Working within the Talent and Culture Team, you will have the opportunity to practice, or learn and gain experience, undertaking key duties, including but not exclusive:

  • Supporting colleagues and trainers in using, navigating, and finding learning content on our Learning Management System (TURAS Learn)
  • Coordinating and scheduling induction training for new starts, creating itineraries to map out their training and meeting new starts on their training weeks
  • Undertaking administrative duties, such as: ordering and invoicing, electronic-rostering, and monitoring inboxes
  • Extract reports for the organisation and trainers from our Learning Management System (TURAS Learn)
  • Answering phones and being first point of contact for queries and escalating those queries where appropriate.

If you have:

  • A positive attitude towards delivering a great service
  • The ability and experience in using Microsoft Office Systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience organising and planning, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills
