Please note: The base for this post will be University Hospital Wishaw and University Hospital Hairmyres


The post holder will be responsible for the provision of professional and technical management to the PFI/PPP & HUB Contracts Team to ensure effective and efficient management of 2 major Acute PFI Contracts, 1 Community Hospital PPP Contract and 3 Community Health Centre HUB Contracts


The role will require provision of professional and technical advice to identify, plan and implement strategies and guidance to ensure compliance with PFI/PPP and HUB Contracts and to obtain continuous improvement and value for money to assist with the delivery of high standard, patient centred care.


The post holder should be a manager with significant experience working at a senior level and with a proven track record of dealing with complex contracts.


Applicants require a Master degree level of knowledge plus relevant experience in Building or Engineering with appropriate management experience and specialist knowledge and experience in PFI/PPP and HUB Contracts. The post holder should also be a member of a professional body.


The post holder should have considerable experience in the management and control of operational staff in a complex organisation and responsibility for large budgets.


The role requires well developed leadership skills enhanced by excellent behavioural competencies particularly those that relate to influencing and achieving change in a service environment e.g. use of influencing strategies, persuasiveness, achievement drive, quality focus and patient/customer orientation


Well developed written and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to present to a wide range of stakeholder groups and to produce high quality written reports in understandable terms suitable for non-technical and/or non property orientated management group.


The post holder must hold a valid driving licence.
