Employed by NHS Education for Scotland the sessions support the development of educational structures and processes which deliver the psychological therapies training of multi-professional CAMHS

These programmes are delivered and quality assured in partnership between NES, Universities/Education Providers, and NHS services and so the sessions will involve close liaison with all partners and the development of processes spanning all three.

This is an opportunity to have a considerable impact on the training of CAMHS practitioners as part of a national programme of developments supporting NHS services in the implementation of the Matrix and LDP access targets. The sessions will involve supporting trainees/practitioners undergoing training in evidence-based therapies and developing and delivering supervision training to supervisors.  A major part of the role will continue to be supporting CAMHS practitioners to develop competences in CBT.  There will also be opportunities to contribute to research activity. You will work in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and engage with existing projects and resources in NES, Universities and NHS services.

You will be an experienced clinical psychologist registered with HCPC and should be eligible to be a Chartered Psychologist. Experience of supervising Trainees in evidence based psychological therapies and extensive psychological therapy practice is essential.  Accreditation in an evidence based psychological therapy is desirable (support to achieve accreditation for preferred candidates would be made available if required).
