An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses to join the ECMS – Medical Specialities teams within the Royal Alexandra Hospital. This post is a Registered Nurse based within ward 12/Coronary Care Unit.
The CCU is a 12 bedded Level 2 unit and provides acute cardiac care to patients with a range of conditions and at various stages of their care. The unit also provides nursing cover for 12 additional telemetry units across the hospital.
There are numerous opportunities within the unit including telemetry monitoring, cardioversion clinics, assisting with pacemaker insertion. There is also opportunity to undertake ALS certification.
We are keen to develop our team and are looking for registered nurses with experience in a Coronary Care setting or a cardiology ward.
The successful candidates will become part of the nursing team who will support the assessment, planning and delivery of specialist care within a dynamic working environment. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to engage and support the clinical team in programmes of care to enhance the patient journey and patient experience contributing towards delivery of positive outcomes using the Excellence in Care framework. You will be responsible to the Senior Charge Nurse and be expected to work on your own merit in addition to leading the team. This role will also include supporting the SCN & CNs with operational tasks aligned to workforce efficiency, financial spend and HR processes. Candidates should have a strong vision and be skilled with applying quality improvement methodology. The successful candidate should be innovative and be creative within their organisational role.
