We are currently seeking a dynamic, inspirational and experienced manager to provide leadership, support and direction within the Scottish Ambulance Service ICT Department.

Ideally candidates should have a proven record of ICT project management, ICT training development and successfully leading ICT teams.  In addition, they should be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of the technical systems and solutions deployed in a typical modern emergency service control room.

Strong communications and interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to manage change.   The successful candidates must be self-motivated, resilient and resourceful.  They must also be capable of working on their own initiative.

As Head of ICT Development & Training you will be responsible for leading the teams who provide research, development, design, project management and training related to the delivery of highly complex ICT solutions to the Scottish Ambulance Service.

The core purpose of this post is to plan, manage and deliver the strategic development of existing systems as well as the specification and implementation of new developments in line with the Service ICT / Digital Strategy.  This includes the development and delivery of ICT user training.

The post holder will develop and implement the ICT plans derived from the Digital strategy to ensure core ICT services are robust and continually developed to meet the operational requirements of the organisation.

The base for this post is negotiable but is likely to be in the central belt of Scotland.

This post involves business travel so a current driving licence is essential.
