As a major division within the NHS National Services Scotland the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale through our leading position in new product development biomedical research and donor / clinical services. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards to patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive.



The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding organisational abilities, able to deal confidently with senior managers, staff and stakeholders. They will be able to demonstrate an ability to operate within a personal assistant role and be self-organised and meticulous having confidence to act on their own initiative. They will also be expected to organise and facilitate particular group meetings including minute taking and document preparation. The successful candidate will support the Regional Head of Service, the medical team and the laboratory managers in delivering a high quality service for the patients of Tayside.



Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
