We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative health care professional to lead educational developments for multidisciplinary staff working in Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing.

NES is the lead for the Workforce Development subgroup of the C&YP Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme Board and has been tasked with extending CAMHS capacity in support of transforming Scotland’s approach to children and young people’s mental health in Scotland following recommendation by the Children & Young People’s Mental Health Taskforce.
You will assist the Head of Programme – CYP Mental Health and Wellbeing in supporting a large portfolio of SG agreed work within the Children’s speciality area.  

This role will include leading on the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of a range of learning programmes on behalf of NES, and through liaison with relevant stakeholders.  A major focus will be to commission and deliver training on evidence based psychological interventions and supervision programmes for workers in CYP’s mental health.  The postholder will also review and develop both existing and new online resources suitable for a range of child services workers.  

You will be educated to Masters Level, or equivalent, and have considerable experience of working in Children’s services.  Experience of delivering and developing training materials will be essential, along with experience of managing project/planning deadlines.  You should have substantial experience of delivering evidence based psychological interventions/ therapies to children, young people and families as well as experience of supervising colleagues.  You will be able to demonstrate flexibility, high-level communication skills and a commitment to engagement in partnership working with a range of multi-professional and multi-agency stakeholders.

This post will be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, and regular travel throughout Scotland will be required due to the nature of this post.  

This post (up to 1.0wte) is available on a temporary basis up to March 2021.
