Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.


The successful candidate will be part of a team of clinicians delivering a range of therapeutic interventions, treatment and advice to people experiencing a range of mental health problems from those people experiencing less complex presentations requiring low intensity supports to those people who will require high intensity evidence based treatments for complex mental health issues. Mental Health Practitioners will typically deliver supports and interventions to those people experiencing less complex mental health issues who will be aged 16 and over.Clinical provision will be based on delivery of direct client care to identify patients as part of a caseload but will also include brief time limited evidence based self help interventions and group interventions as and when appropriate, signposting to relevant community services and to guide patients in taking personal responsibility for their psychological health.


Applying candidates must hold a nationally recognized qualification at postgraduate  Diploma/Degree Level (e.g., CBT, Counselling, or CAAP Masters degree. Counsellors: must hold post-graduate diploma or MSc in Counselling and be accredited with BACP at Level 3 or equivalent or working toward accreditation. The post holder will have knowledge of Mental Health issues and understanding of clinical presentations, evidence of continuing professional development/post-basic study that is relevant to the role, knowledge of Mental Health issues and understanding of clinical presentations, ability to work with people and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, excellent interpersonal written, and verbal communication skills, ability to work unsupervised and the ability to offer individual, group and self-help treatments.
