NHS Lothian is looking to appoint a forward thinking, innovative GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to operationally manage our pan-Lothian prescribing support services.

Working under the direction of the Primary Care and Community Pharmacy Co-ordinator, you will manage the team of pharmacy technicians and data analysts supporting our efficiencies programmes, prescribing analytics, unlicensed medicines and shortages management systems. You will also manage the systems for primary care management of the vaccine cold chain. 

A pharmacy technician with a substantial level of experience across a range of pharmacy practice settings, you will be an innovator who has an enthusiastic approach to implementing local and national strategy and in particular - Achieving Excellence in Pharmaceutical Care.

With a recognised qualification at HNC level in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a relevant Management discipline, you will bring project management experience, or experience of leading change or the implementation of new services.

The Primary Care Pharmacy Service is enthusiastic about participating in practice based research and of spreading quality improvement methodology.

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are required. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership.
