We require a motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to lead a caseload within the West Caithness Community Nursing Team. They will provide support to our Band 5 Nurses and Healthcare Support Workers and work alongside our Advanced Practitioner and Integrated Team to provide high quality care to our patients and their carers.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work on both your own initiative and as part of a team. Experience of working within caring and home environments, in partnership with patients and families and other agencies is vital.
A current driving licence is also essential for this post as is use of your own car although pool car may be available at times - you will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations to meet the operational requirements of the service.
This is a temporary post of 30 hours per week, covering a 7-day rota, including weekends. A willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call commitment for terminally ill patients, requiring end of life care, is also essential. This is a fixed term post of up to 1 year.
