An exciting new opportunity has arisen for joint working between Substance Misuse and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist to work directly with Barnardo’s young person service to support young people experiencing co-morbid substance misuse and mental health difficulties. The post holder will liaise between tier 1 services, specialist SMS and CAMHS to ensure that the young people are able to access appropriate level of support.
The post holder must be 1st level Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) trained to degree level with post qualifications experience in relevant area of speciality. The post holder will be required to have clinical experience in the fields of Substance Misuse and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. The post holder will provide clinical expertise, leadership, training and supervision to nursing staff engaged in the delivery of evidence-based, effective, specialist interventions to those with co-morbid substance misuse and mental health problems. The post holder will be line managed and clinically supervised by The Substance Misuse Service with additional supervision provided by CAMHS
The Substance Misuse Service promotes the recovery model using an integrated model of care, in conjunction with partner agencies. Good interpersonal skills and experience of team working are essential requirements for this post. The post holder will link in with CAMHS for specific assessment, treatment modalities and specialist formulation and plan of care.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout Forth Valley is essential for this post.
