The remit of the Workforce Directorate is to support the people infrastructure of NES and align to the Scottish Governments Everyone Matters: 20:20 Workforce Vision.  

The Workforce Directorate provides a comprehensive Human Resources and Organisational Development and Learning service to NES and externally to NHS Scotland.

What you'll do

This role is part of the Workforce Infrastructure team within the Workforce Directorate. This team is responsible for providing the functional and technical support for all the Directorate's systems as well as providing HR data for reporting and analysis to the Directorate and wider organisation. The person within this role will mainly be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and customer service support across a range of HR system and data quality activities, liaising with staff throughout NES as well as external stakeholders.

The key responsibilities of this role are: -

•    Often acting as the first point of contact within the team. Managing helpdesk tickets whilst re-allocating any queries amongst the team as appropriate.
•    Ensuring data quality is maintained across a wide variety of HR systems, working with large sets of data on a regular basis
•    Transferring and inputting (often confidential) employee data across various systems, ensuring this information is stored both accurately and securely.
•    Supporting the team in working with technology to create and improve automated processes and data flows.
•    Any ad hoc administration task as required.

What you’ll bring

These will include but will not be limited to:

•    Excellent communication and organisational skills
•    A strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel
•    A range of Administrative experience including experience of maintaining and collating data
•    Ability to organise own workload and time and be able to prioritise tasks by differentiating levels of urgency.
