This is a replacement (5 PA) Community based post joining a team of 5.6 full time Consultants working in the North East sector of Glasgow. You will work alongside a 0.5 older adult community psychiatrist and 0.6 inpatient older adult consultant psychiatrist and be part of a well established and integrated CMHT. The Woodlands CMHT covers approximately 12,000 population of the Strathkelvin area of East Dunbartonshire and 2,000 from the North Lanarkshire corridor. This is for a population that is mainly over 65 years of age with both functional and organic mental disorders but also includes some younger people with dementia. Community work will include consultant psychiatry input to an expanding care home liaison team which has recently integrated with Adult care home liaison and has regular support from clinical psychology.
