The successful candidate, reporting to the Director of Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities will provide strategic leadership for the procurement function across NHS Scotland leading National Procurement’s strategic sourcing, logistics and supply chain services.


You will develop and deliver a vision for National Procurement, ensuring the organisation makes a significant and direct contribution to Scotland’s Health and Social Care system, enhancing its reputation, delivering benefits and providing high quality, customer-focused solutions.  

 
National Procurement also hosts the only public sector national logistics and distribution centre. Based in Larkhall Lanarkshire this provides daily deliveries to health board locations across Scotland ensuring a range of daily consumables are provided where they are needed, when they are needed.
As part of the larger National Services Scotland (NSS) organisation National Procurement is an integral part a suite of nationally co-ordinated services.
