There is an opportunity for a full time physiotherapist to work with our team  within University Hospital Wishaw and NHSL

This role will be:

An exciting opportunity to work in obstetrics and P.F.D. (pelvic floor dysfunction). The team cover antenatal and postnatal inpatients, out patients, group sessions on PGP, EROSS and active birthing classes.  There is also an opportunity to work in the PFD speciality and enhance your skills.

You require adequate post registration experience and preferably to have completed a specialist women’s health rotation.  Training will be provided to meet your needs.   The most important quality is your professionalism and enthusiasm to learn. Team working and the ability to work using own initiative is essential.


This is a full time post but part time enquiries are welcome


If successful in your application, you will play a lead role for a designated clinical area with a caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge. The post holder will have responsibility for the supervision, education and development of more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers and students within the speciality, provide a specialised resource to other healthcare staff/patients/carers and has an active involvement in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research


Applying candidates should be a registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC registration and be educated to/operating at degree level. Candidates should have a post graduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently and have a comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice. In addition to a specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality/area of practice.

The successful candidate will display leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery and provide evidence of further education/evidence of continuous professional development in area of speciality including study days/courses/postgraduate qualification. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative. Candidates will require excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills, and have effective time management skills and a working knowledge of basic information technology.
