The Tissue Governance team are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the group.
Applications are invited for the post of Tissue Governance Biomedical Scientific Officer to assist the Tissue Governance Manager deliver a comprehensive quality system for tissue governance in Lothian.
You should be an experienced Biomedical Scientist with expertise in working in a clinical or research laboratory.
Proven skills in Biomedical Sciences with a high level of competence in Histopathology required.
Knowledge of Health and Safety, Quality Management Systems and accreditation highly desired.
The tissue governance service is in place to ensure appropriate governance of human tissues for research. It is committed to the principles of Good Clinical Practice and HTA Codes of Practice to ensure that NHS Lothian abides by its tissue policies and best practice. The team oversees a Bioresource of human tissue which is accredited by NRS Central Management.
