his post will involve the day-to-day management of the Library including: staffing the enquiry desk, managing the IT resources, keeping the physical library maintained and dealing with requests for support from library users.

You will also manage and maintain the Library’s print collections including the purchasing of relevant and useful materials which you will catalogue using the appropriate classification system on the NHS Scotland ALMA Library Management system. Additionally you will also manage the Open Athens system and manage the user enquiry service via email.

Additional duties will include delivering information skills training such as literature searching and user awareness sessions. There will also be a requirement to participate in service and resource development, attending training courses with NES and being an active member of the NHS Scotland Library Services network.

You should be educated to degree level in a relevant subject, such as Library and Information Science and ideally have postgraduate experience in library work, or up to date experience that is sufficient to equate to this level of education.
