An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the team within the West of Scotland Regional Heart & Lung Cardiac Cath Labs Department at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital as part of the Interventional Cardiology service.
The Cath Lab Dept consists of 4 labs and associated Day Ward. A 5th lab and additional day unit will be opening later in 2020. The Cath Labs are a busy, demanding and rewarding department in which to work, dealing with patients undergoing coronary, structural heart, adult congenital and electrophysiology procedures. In addition, we provide primary and rescue PCI for those patients with STEMI as well as in patient treatment for those with other acute coronary syndromes. This role involves supporting the supply of consumables required for patient treatment through the use of inventory management systems, along with regular direct and indirect patient care as directed by the nursing team.
This vacancy demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your personal qualities should include excellent organisation skills together with a positive approach and the ability to work effectively within the busy team. You should be able to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing personal and professional development and the ability to adapt to the diverse and variable demands of caring for patients within the Cath Lab Department. The successful candidates will have variable working hours over the working week.
