PRIMARY CARE CONTRACTS MANAGER

(FULL TIME 37.5 HOURS/WEEK) BAND 7

Applications are invited for this position in the Primary Care Contractor Organisation (PCCO)(Primary Care Directorate) based at Waverley Gate, 2-4 Waterloo Place, Edinburgh, EH1 3EQ.

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent professional qualification, preferably in a healthcare related area or a relevant management qualification e.g. degree or diploma and management experience in primary care or a related area e.g. health and social care and knowledge of relevant statutory regulations/legislation

You will manage the national contractual arrangements and associated governance requirements for independent contractors in NHS Lothian (General Medical Practitioners, General Dental Practitioners, Community Pharmacy Contractors; Optometry Contractors) in line with the relevant statutory legislation and guidance.

You will also assist in the development of contracts with independent contractors (General Medical Practitioners; General Dental Practitioners, Community Pharmacy Contractors; Optometry Contractors) in partnership with, and on behalf of NHS Lothian and the four Health and Social Care Partnerships.
