An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well motivated Audiologist to work providing Audiology Services within the Grampian region. The post-holder will be based in Aberdeen but shall also participate in peripheral clinics throughout Grampian.
The department has a friendly team of committed Audiologists with a wide range of responsibilities covering the entirety of Audiological provision to adults and children throughout Grampian. The clinical services provided include neonatal screening, paediatric assessment and re-habilitation, as well as adult assessment and re-habilitation. Other services provided include clinics for Adults with a Learning Disability, BAHA, Hearing Therapy for complex cases, Tinnitus and Hyperacusis clinics, as well as Vestibular Assessment and Rehabilitation.
The successful applicant will be expected to deliver effective care and would also have scope to develop skills and services, in areas that are of particular interest to them. The post will have a strong emphasis on tinnitus and hyperacusis practice, therefore clinical experience in these areas would be a desirable attribute but not essential. The department also has various teaching commitments including regularly having Audiology students on placements.
The department would consider applications from newly qualified Audiology students and deliver comprehensive training to develop their experience in a particular specialist area with the aim of progressing to band 6 in due course.
