Are you passionate about delivering the best care for patients and their medicines?

NHS Fife has a development opportunity for a pharmacist with extensive experience, at a senior level, of delivery of a clinical pharmacy service in primary care, hospital pharmacy or community pharmacy.  This post will lead the transformation and integration of the clinical pharmacy service in GP practices across Fife to deliver the level 2/ 3 elements of the Pharmacotherapy service, as part of the GP contract.

The NHS Fife Pharmacy Service is undergoing an ambitious programme of transformation and integration. It serves a population of approximately 380,000 people, and is provided by an integrated team of around 200 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators. The team work across Acute and Community hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and a range of specialist teams. Partnership working is at the core of our values, and we work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including our Community Pharmacy colleagues, to deliver the highest quality care for everyone in Fife.

This post would suit someone with excellent clinical knowledge, leadership skills and communication skills, You will have a post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy and be an independent prescriber, and will have a regular clinical session.

This post is fixed term for 12 months.

Applications on a secondment basis will be considered providing you have prior agreement from your current line manager. 

You will have an office base in Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline, as well as flexibility for home working.
