A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join NHS National Services Scotland’s Finance service.  NSS Finance strives to deliver excellence in strategic financial management enabled by sound governance, business insight and efficient and effective services.
An important new role in our structure, the Finance Business Partner will provide strategic financial input to major programmes and initiatives at both NSS and NHS Scotland level which will involve establishing effective relationships with senior management in NHS Boards and the Scottish Government. They will be integral to the identification and implementation of innovative financial solutions to support the delivery of NSS strategic objectives in-line with broader NHS Scotland strategic direction, maximising value and mitigating risk. 
The Finance Business Partner will be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence others to drive forward change.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant, almost certainly with evidence of a post-graduate qualification.  You will have an extensive proven track record in all aspects of finance service delivery within a complex organisation and experience in a Senior Finance Manager role including significant budgetary responsibility. An understanding of the challenges facing health and social care is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. 
Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
