National Services Division (NSD) plans, funds and co-ordinates national specialist and screening services on behalf of NHS Boards and the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates (SGHSCD). 
The National Strategic Networks (NSN’s) are an integral part of a systematic and holistic approach to service redesign and improvement, designed to deliver on Scottish Government policy aims of improved clinical and other outcomes for patients, families and carers through effective integration. The NSN’s are responsible and accountable for the effective management of a number of Scottish Government priorities including: Major Trauma, Perinatal, Prison, Police and Veterans Care. The NSN’s are designated through Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates (SGHSCD) and national commissioning processes. 
The NSN’s Teams provide networks with consistent, high quality managerial and strategic support to ensure they achieve aims and objectives agreed through national commitments. They facilitate links to integrate strategy into operational management and local, regional and national planning structures within and beyond healthcare. 
We are seeking an experienced Senior Information Manager to join our team to support all of the National Strategic Networks in the complex world of data and information. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organisational, IT and communication skills. They will be a personable, collaborative, highly motivated individual who works well with others, is proactive in relationship building, able to work to deadlines, and prioritise a busy workload.  
The ideal candidates will have strong experience in health service management, planning of services, information analytics, commissioning, programme management and quality improvement.
This is a challenging role that requires excellent systems leadership within a complex, and dynamic environment.
This role requires the postholder to be able to commit to occasional out of hours work, and frequent travel throughout Scotland is also required. A pool/hire car is available for business use if required.
