We seek to appoint a Specialty Doctor to join our team in Dumfries and Galloway.
Applications are welcome for a Speciality Doctor post Paediatrics working 10 sessions per week at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary. The post-holder will be working a resident 2nd on-call rota as part of a rota shared with other Specialty Doctors and ST3 trainees. The post holder will be expected to undertake a mixture of duties to include acute assessment, resuscitations and care of the children and neonates within DGRI. In addition, there will be commitments to general paediatric outpatient work or community paediatric work depending on successful applicant’s experience. The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop special skills, be involved in specialist services and take an active part in service review and implementation of service development.
All applicants must hold valid registration with the GMC. The successful applicant will join an enthusiastic medical team of 8 consultants, 2 Associate Specialists, 3 other Speciality Doctors, 2 speciality trainees, 3 advanced nurse practitioners and 5 junior doctors, who provide a range of specialist services and excellent educational opportunities in a beautiful area of south west Scotland.
