Lead Clinician – Scottish Paediatric Renal and Urology Managed Clinical Network (SPRUN)
Up to 3 years fixed term
1 PAs per week
In line with Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates guidance, National Services Division (NSD) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Lead Clinician for the Scottish Paediatric Renal and Urology Network.
This is a key strategic role in promoting and driving forward the development of an effective, integrated, multidisciplinary service for children and young people with complex renal and urology disease throughout Scotland. In this sessional appointment the postholder will work closely with clinical and other stakeholders and NSD colleagues.
Applicants will be leaders in their clinical field with experience in the provision and development of renal and urology services. A proven record in leading change, ability to work across traditional organisational, geographical and professional boundaries and a demonstrable understanding of the ethos of managed clinical networks are essential.
Applicants must have a current substantive role as an NHS Scotland employee and have the support of their Clinical Director for this post to be incorporated into their job plan. The employing NHS Board will be recompensed for the agreed sessional commitment on the basis of evidence of actual backfill costs incurred to release the individual to fulfil the Lead Clinician role requirements.
