The Acute Services at VHK has been transforming and to maximise the benefits of our inpatient accommodation we’ve made some changes to our hospital layout to improve the quality and safety of patient care. 


As a result of change a new nursing model has been implemented within ward 9 at the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. Ward 9 is now known as Rapid Assessment and Discharge Unit with a capacity of 11 beds. The unit’s main focus is to support our frail elderly patients that only require a short stay in hospital and additional support from our services.  

The RAD unit has a number of exciting opportunities that has arisen for dynamic and inspirational nursing professionals to care at a high standard for patients at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. 

We can offer permanent positions, full time and part time hours, and are looking for staff to work within our new unit.

These roles provide an opportunity to work flexibly, as part of a team delivering excellence in patient care. If you are an experienced nurse or early career nurse looking to further develop your skills, these posts will be supported by a Senior Charge Nurse and Charge Nurse to provide you with opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.
