Salary Band 5 - £25,100 - £31,649/Band 6 - £31,800 - £39,169 (pro-rata)
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and competent Senior Staff Nurse or Staff Nurse (development post) to join our friendly team within the Emergency Department at Caithness General Hospital, Wick.
Caithness General is a well-equipped, 41 bedded, Rural General Hospital with facilities including an Emergency Department, 24 hour CT scanning, high dependency unit, acute assessment unit, post acute/rehabilitation ward, outpatient/near me department, theatre suite, day case unit, ambulatory care unit, community midwifery unit, laboratory and pharmacy services.
We are a busy unit with 5 clinical areas and 3 minor injury bays. We care for a variety of complex conditions such as cardiac, stroke and neurological conditions, major trauma, orthopaedics and elderly care; also varied minor injuries. This has led our team to develop an advanced skill set in many different areas of nursing.
As a Senior Staff Nurse/Staff Nurse, you will be supported in completing further training and gaining the experience needed to deliver a high standard of evidence based patient centred care. You will be working closely with the multi disciplinary team and will play a key role in planning rehabilitation goals.
You would also be expected to undertake work with the Scottish Trauma Audit Group.
This is a part-time permanent post of 30 hours per week, working a rotational day/night duty contract as required.
Relocation package will be available to the successful candidate.
