Job Advert

Please Note:- this post is only open to NHS NSS employees only.

As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership.  We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.

The Central Legal Office (CLO) provides comprehensive legal services to Health Boards and Special NHS Entities in Scotland, covering all aspects of litigation and employment law, property transactions and commercial contracts.

The primary function of the post is to provide an efficient and effective Reception service to all customers and staff of CLO. This will include receiving and directing all incoming calls, welcoming visitors and issuing security passes, providing hospitality to visitors, arranging taxis for staff and visitors, and liaising with courier companies.  You will be customer focused, friendly, well presented and have an excellent telephone manner, together with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Experience of working on reception in a customer led environment is essential.

The post also includes providing a high quality specialised legal secretarial support to the teams within the SBU as/if required.  This involves audio/copy typing of all relevant legal documentation, photocopying of medical records and other associated documents, file management, and any other duties as required of a Legal Secretary.  You will ideally have legal secretarial experience, including audio and copy typing skills, however this is not essential.

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.

For an informal discussion on the post, please contact Anne Boyle on 0131 275 7824.
