We are currently seeking to recruit band 5 staff nurses to join our team, in our Ear, Nose and Throat and Surgical Short Stay integrated Unit .The unit is a 24/7 ward , which consists of 20 inpatient beds, as well as outpatient clinics Monday to Friday in VHK and QMH.

The ENT/SSSU are busy unit, with a high volume of patients, This will be an exciting opportunity to be part of our team.
 
You will be joining a well motivated and dynamic multi-disciplinary team who strive to deliver the highest level of care possible.


You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to embrace change and deliver excellent patient centred care always.
Candidates with experience or an interest in delivering care to patients with tracheostomies or laryngectomies would be welcomed
You should be able to work well under pressure and be able to cope with the constant demands of a busy ward environment, as well as our outpatient department
Extended clinical skills would be desirable. i.e.be proficient in Venepuncture, cannulation and IV antibiotics.
Clinical supervision will be available to successful candidates.
This post will require you to rotate through core shifts, twelve hour shifts, night shifts, as well as working a variety of shift patterns to meet the needs of our excellent service.
Experience in acute nursing is desirable.
