If you do, then as our new Associate Director of Digital and Information you will lead digital and Information delivery across Board services to ensure current and future digital technology and Information needs are delivered in the most effective, safe and efficient way.
The role will focus on effective Digital and Information Transformation to enable the modern delivery of services within NHS Fife. Effective delivery of digital and data driven decisions contributes to NHS Fife’s mission to transform health and care, to be the best and exhibit the values of safety first, care and compassion, excellence, fairness and transparency.
You will lead planning, coordinating and design of all IT infrastructure covering clinical and business processes, including leadership of Information Governance & Security, Information Management and Health Records as well as provide expert direction for digital solutions that support clinical and non-clinical processes, ensuring the Board meets its statutory requirements.
With significant experience at a senior level in strategic and operational management in a healthcare or equivalent highly complex organisation, you will have the personal credibility and interpersonal skills to lead and deliver in a politically sensitive and demanding role. You will have a significant track record of leading large scale IT programmes and projects through the full project life cycle from planning business case, sourcing/procurement and implementation.
Educated to postgraduate level, or equivalent, you will have substantial leadership experience, gained within an operationally complex organisation comparable in scale to health care or the wider public or commercial sectors. Comprehensive understanding of current developments within the IT market place is essential. You will ensure that the vision, direction and clinical strategy for the Board are fully enabled by digital processes, change and innovation.
The Kingdom of Fife is a peninsula in eastern Scotland with a coastline of 170 kilometres (105 miles) bound by the Firth of Forth to the South and the Firth of Tay to the North. NHS Fife provides tertiary services to around 370,000 residents employing over 8,500 staff across Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline alongside a variety of essential Community Health Partnership Hospitals, Day Hospitals, Primary Care Facilities and General Practitioners.
You must be able to travel throughout Fife and across Scotland as required.
