LOCUM CONSULTANT IN INFECTIOUS DISEASES

RAIGMORE HOSPITAL, INVERNESS

​​​​​​​1 x Part time post, 20 hours per week (0.5WTE)

FIXED TERM FOR 6 MONTHS

£84,984 - £112,925 per annum pro rata

Applications are invited for this Consultant post in Infectious Disease service within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.  This is an exciting opportunity to supports the Infectious Diseases and Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) services.

 The hours and job plan for this part time post can be discussed on an individual basis.

The post will involve general infectious diseases clinics, ward referrals, OPAT referrals and reviews. In addition a new infection ward is planned and this post is likely to include the addition of ward rounds on the infection ward and review of COVID 19 patients in the red ward. The consultant will work alongside two part time infectious diseases consultants and colleagues in microbiology. In addition to a comprehensive virology and bacteriology service the service also has the Scottish Lyme borreliosis reference service and the Scottish Toxoplasma Reference Service.
