Applications are invited to join our team within the Theatre Recovery Practitioner - Recovery / Day Surgery.           

 

Applications are invited to join our enthusiastic and innovative Recovery Team within North Sector Theatres and Critical Care.  This post will primarily be based in the Day Surgery Unit at New Stobhill Hospital.  As part of the multidisciplinary team you will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programs of care and the implementation and evaluation of these programs ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients within the perioperative department. You will be a First Level Registered Nurse trained in general nursing or adult nursing, or a qualified Operating Department Practitioner. Experience in Day Surgery is desirable. You will be supported in expanding your knowledge and skills by our departmental practice development staff. The ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of an integrated team is required. You are required to demonstrate flexibility and will be expected to engage in multi-site working between New Stobhill Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary in order to achieve the needs of the wider Theatres and Critical Care service. As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s pre employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC / HCPC registration will be required prior to start date. You should therefore note candidates who are unable to provide confirmation of current NMC / HCPC registration, in line with projected start date for this post, may not be shortlisted for interview.

 

The shift pattern is 9.5 hours of 12 hour shifts.
